MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos graces the launching of the Marikina Rehabilitation Restoration Project earlier today at the Olandes Sewerage Treatment Plant in Marikina City. Chairman Abalos, DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu, Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro and DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo have witnessed the ceremonial dredging operations and bamboo planting along the river. The project is part of the government's effort to address the perennial flooding in low lying areas such as Marikina, Pasig and some portions of Rizal province. Build Back Better Task Force, headed by Sec. Cimatu, is tasked to lead the rehabilitation of the Marikina River.

Retail vendors are following the price cap amid supply woes but the national government is optimistic situation will normalize soon.

Tinio U-turn slot as it reopens to motorists following complaints of heavy traffic in the area. Concrete barriers were removed and MMDA personnel were also deployed to ensure smooth vehicular flow.
