MMDA Apprehends 13 Colorum, Out of Line Vehicles in Four Days
With its intensified drive against unregistered public utility vehicles plying the major thoroughfares along Metro Manila, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority apprehended a total of 13 colorum and out of line PUVs within four days since Saturday.
According to MMDA Chairman Romando Artes, the agency is continuously conducting operations against colorum and out of line vehicles along various roads in the metropolis.
“We have apprehended a total of 10 buses and three jeepneys since March 12 up to date,” Artes said. These vehicles are impounded in the MMDA impounding area at HK Sun Plaza along Roxas Boulevard.
The vehicles were apprehended by the agency’s different traffic units and its Task Force Operations.
Artes added that the agency will not stop its operations against these illegal activities, emphasizing that penalties will be imposed on those engaging with this illegality.
“We will have no let-up in our campaign against these colorum and out of line PUVs. We assure the riding public that individuals behind these unlawful activities will be fined,” he said.
