DOTR To Close Roxas Blvd for Installation of Main Girder
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will close a portion of Roxas Boulevard at NIGHTTIME only starting January 20, to give way to the installation of main girder, launch of support beam and span for the construction of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) Cavite Extension project.
The section to be closed is from EDSA Extension to Bradco Avenue-southbound.
On January 20-21, southbound lanes will be closed at certain hours between 10 pm and 6:30 am. Northbound lane and service road will remain open.
On January 21-22, northbound and southbound lanes will be closed at certain hours between 10 pm and 6:30 am. Service road will remain open to traffic.
On January 24-25, southbound lanes will be closed to traffic at certain hours between 10 pm and 1 am.
Meanwhile, on January 23 (Sunday), northbound, southbound lanes and the service road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:30 am to 7:30 am.
Motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:
• Vehicles from EDSA Extension crossing Roxas Boulevard must turn left to Macapagal Avenue.
• Vehicles going southbound shall take the service road of EDSA flyover and turn right to EDSA Extension.
Directional signs are posted to guide the motorists.
The intermittent work schedule is due to power interruption in the area during the said activities.
