MMDA Launches “I Love MM” Contests

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has launched metro-wide photography, songwriting and art contests carrying the theme “I Love MM (Metro Manila)” aimed at showcasing the National Capital Region’s growth and development.

MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos invites amateur and professional Filipino artists who are residents of Metro Manila to join the contests.

“We encourage residents across the metropolis to take part and feature the transformation of Metro Manila by joining the ‘I Love MM’ contests,” said Abalos.

Abalos also said that by participating in these competitions, Metro Manileños can showcase not just the beauty of the metropolis but also the talents of its residents.

"Through this competition, qualified participants would be able to demonstrate their skills and talents. No participation fee is required," he added.

“These contests are also a way to show how Metro Manila is rising above the challenges brought by the pandemic, especially now that the majority of the region’s eligible population already received their full vaccination.”

"I Love Metro Manila" is an advocacy envisioned to uplift the spirits of its residents recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to strengthen initiatives on urban renewal that aims to transform the metropolis to be a more livable, greener, and resilient region.
