Bonifacio Naval Station Will Also Be Opened To Public Traffic
To further improve the traffic condition in the roads of Metro Manila, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will also open the Bonifacio Naval Station (BNS) in Taguig City to public vehicles as an alternate route.
MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos said that the decals or pass cards to be issued to motorists in Camp Aguinaldo will be honored to be able to enter the BNS facility.
He said the motorists coming from Villamor Airbase in Pasay City going the Bonifacio Global City area and vice-versa can use the BNS to bypass the traffic snarl along Lawton Avenue.
At present, only vehicles of military personnel and those with decals or pass cards are allowed to pass and enter BNS going to Pasong Tamo Extension from Lawton Avenue.
Orbos said motorists wanting to avail of the route can apply for the issuance of a decal or pass card starting tomorrow, November 24, 2016.
The application forms will be available at the MMDA main office in Makati City.
Earlier, the MMDA, along with the I-ACT, announced that Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City will be opened to motorists to decongest the area on the northbound of EDSA, accommodating vehicles going to and coming from Katipunan Avenue and nearby roads.
